Add unique color in woodland gardens, in meadows, or pair with hostas or other leafy perennials to hide their fading foliage. Plant Pink Surprise Lily in well-draining, compost-enriched soil in a sunny to part-shade location, with the top of the bulb 2-3" below soil level and 6-8" apart. Water and mulch with compost in colder zones. Surprise Lily needs only moderate water during the summer after the leaves die back.
